Neutron Asia fund shuts down

Following discussions with investors and the investment management team, Jonathan Garrick and his colleagues at Atherton Asset Management decided to close the Neutron Asia Absolute Return Fund after almost nine years. “Since the troubles in Hong Kong in 2019 and now the strict Covid travel restrictions that look set to continue until the end of the year at least, we have no expectation of raising assets to add to our current low assets under management. As a consequence, it was seen to be in the best interest of all parties to close the fund,” the firm wrote in a statement.
