Sydney Hedge Funds Club evening on 9th September 2024
Our most recent Aussie soiree took place in Sydney on 9th September 2024. This was an evening of networking with hedge funds, family offices, fund allocators and alternative investment professionals. Smiles, laughter and stories were shared during drinks at the Cruise Bar in Sydney. New friends were made and old friendships rekindled. The evening was generously sponsored by 26 Degrees Global Markets, Financial Recovery Technologies, Marex, Finalto, EPFR, State Street Global Advisors and IG Prime.
19 years after the Hedge Funds Club was founded, our latest addition to the line-up is Melbourne, Australia. On Monday 18th March 2024, we hosted our inaugural Melbourne Hedge Funds Club evening soiree which was attended by a great crowd at the popular Chin Chin on Flinders Lane in Melbourne’s business district. Melbourne’s finest fund managers and smartest investors were joined by a few key alternative investment professionals from other parts of Australia for an evening fully focused on connecting people. The upstairs event space at Chin Chin was filled with smiles, laughter and stories being shared over drinks. Old friends catching up and new connections being made. With Melbourne being a sports-mad city, we were fortunate to have three former AFL players turned fund managers in attendance at the event – Chris Judd, Brad Sewell and Steven Rode. The Melbourne evening was generously sponsored by 26 Degrees Global Markets, Financial Recovery Technologies, IG Prime, Sentient Group, Deutsche Börse Market Data + Services and Astris Advisory Japan. We have hosted networking and knowledge events in the Asia-Pacific region since 2005. The Hedge Funds Club successfully expanded into Australia in 2019 where the first Australia Hedge Funds Club event took place at the Cruise Bar on Circular Quay in Sydney with stunning views of the Sydney Opera House, the harbour and the city skyline.
On Monday the 11th of September 2023, the Hedge Funds Club was back in action in Sydney! Hedge fund managers, fund allocators, family offices and alternative investment professionals came together for an evening soiree where the focus was on the people behind the numbers. The evening’s sponsors were 26 Degrees Global Markets, Marex, Finalto, London Stock Exchange Group, Astris Advisory Japan, LMAX Group, Financial Recovery Technologies and Cassini Systems.
