Jay Suresh joins Torq Capital Management

Jay Suresh has joined Torq Capital Management as Head of Product Strategy and Development. Based in Singapore, he will help build out existing teams, evaluate new investment verticals and focus on overall product strategy. Torq Capital Management is an alternative asset manager focusing on equities in Asia Pacific markets. Based in Hong Kong, Torq was established in 2016 by Avinash “Avi” Abraham, the former Head of Asia for Balyasny Asset Management and a former Portfolio Manager at Citadel. Jay was most recently a Senior Investment Officer at Millennium Management. His previous roles have included roles at Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs in New York. He came to Asia with Protege Partners and has also worked at Partners Capital.
